As you explore the Elven world, you will notice that islands open and close at different times - except, of course, for Home Island, which is always open! As for the other islands, though, their openings and closings work according to various rules - let’s dive in and see what those are.
⏱ Time-Limited Archipelago Islands
Some Archipelago Islands only stay open for a certain amount of time. Let’s say, for example, that you have opened Forgotten Island. This island will remain open without any limits until you open Onyx Island, at which point a 24-hour-timer will activate. Once 24 hours have passed, Forgotten Island will close.
So, make sure you have collected all the resources you need from one Archipelago Island before you open the next one, in case the first one is time-limited. Remember, once a timer activates, you can check the map to see how much of the 24 hours remains.
🔮 Event Islands
Event Islands are open for 96 hours regardless of what Archipelago Islands you might have open.
Be sure to visit the Event Island, complete all of its quests, and collect the rewards before time runs out. Once you have completed all the quests on an Event Island, you can still revisit it to collect resources while it remains open. When an Event Island closes, you will have to wait one month before it reopens, and you can play through it again.
