In 1961, a research volcanologist stumbled through a mysterious portal into a new world. Curious as to the nature of this place in which she had arrived, she stayed for a few months to learn its ways and meet its friendly inhabitants. When it was time to return to Earth, she and three elves left together.
Now in our current day, three humans – Sloane, Ava, and Bastian – and one Shiba Inu named Waffle, follow a set of coordinates which lead them to a mysterious island after a strange storm. There, they find an abandoned camp and lost pages from Sloane's grandmother's diary, which reveal that she was the volcanologist who first discovered the island and its Elven inhabitants in 1961.
The humans begin to discover that there may be a reason why they have found themselves pulled into this new world.
Once living in harmony in their world, Palindrome, the elves fled when a mysterious meteor storm threatened their land. With Palindrome all but destroyed, the elves now live in a realm containing broken up pieces of their world. This new home, the Sanctuary as they call it, has a familiar yet mysterious energy hiding secrets of its own.
Those secrets call out to Sloane, Ava, and Bastian, who are determined to uncover the truth. Along the way the humans will learn of the Sacred Elves, who are the leaders of Palindrome's ten Gaia realms, and whose connection to Palindrome is fractured.
Armed with Sloane's grandmother's diary, and surrounded by magical elves and quirky spirits, Sloane, Ava, and Bastian must embark on a life-changing journey...
