Containers 🗳 are a very useful gameplay feature which, if used correctly, can save you energy and speed up your progress. Let’s dive in and learn how to make the most of them, step-by-step.
What is a container? 🗳
A container is a place where you can store a specific resource or item when you have no free space left for it in storage.
Where do I find containers? 📍
A container will appear when you need it on the island where you are playing at the time. The main condition for a container to appear is that you do not have any free space in storage.
What kind of containers are there?🗄
There are currently 37 different containers in the game, with each one able to store something different such as a resource, a crop or a crafted item. Note that there is also a 38th type of "container" which appears in-game visually as a sack. These sacks hold crafted items that do not go into other containers.
Keep in mind that containers will never appear for certain rarities such as Dragôn Shard tools, because you can hold an unlimited number of them, even if your storage is full.
Note that containers can appear behind Coral Castle. To access them you will need to move Coral Castle, something that will not be possible until you reach level 26, and have upgraded the Castle to level 2.
Moving items between containers and storage 📥
To move something from a container, you will first need to make sure you have some free space in storage. There are a number of ways to make space there, such as XP exchanges (see the article How Can I Exchange Items in Storage for Experience Points? for more info), crafting items, and fulfilling Merchant orders or Dragôn Mysterium requests.
When you have space, all you have to do is tap on a container, and whatever it holds will move into storage.
Useful tips📌
🧤 Before you leave an island or it closes, don’t forget to empty any containers on it – the resources and items they contain are sure to be useful to you later.
🧤 Keep your storage full with items and resources that are of most value to you, or that you use most frequently. That way, when you pick up less useful resources or items, they will go into a container and not take up precious slots in storage.
🧤You can always go back to a container to pick things up when you need them. In general, the more containers you have on an island, the faster you will progress through the game!
